Biography

Franck Soutoul is an industrial property adviser and the founder of INLEX Monaco. He has been practising since 1987 and has devoted his career to the protection of trade marks, designs and domain names.

In 1995, he founded the firm INLEX in Paris. His starting idea: an intellectual property consultancy that works without borders, with in-depth knowledge of Europe and Africa. The firm grew first in France, then internationally, with offices in Africa, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Asia. In the Principality, he set up INLEX Monaco in 2009 to support Monégasque businesses, in Monaco and in their export markets.

He is particularly recognised for his prior rights search strategies, which make it possible to check that a trade mark is available before filing it, and for the management of international portfolios of rights. He has also worked on patent cases alongside engineers, which gives him a complete view of the protection of innovation, from its legal aspects to its contractual aspects.

His method rests on one conviction: intellectual property is not only a legal tool, it is a strategic lever for the business. Each case therefore begins with an analysis of the intangible assets and their competitive environment, leading to protection aligned with commercial objectives. He thus advises businesses of all sizes, from entrepreneurs to international groups, with tailor-made and pragmatic solutions.

Franck Soutoul is registered with the INPI as an industrial property adviser and is a professional representative before the EUIPO. He is among the practitioners recognised by the IP Stars guide published by Managing IP, for France and for Monaco.
