AS Monaco Combat Médiéval

The Combat Médiéval section of the Association Sportive de Monaco is undoubtedly one of the most original and spectacular of the multi-sport club. It offers the opportunity to discover and practice a discipline at the crossroads of combat sports and living history, combining technique, power and a passion for medieval heritage.

Open to all, the section welcomes men and women wishing to learn or perfect the art of armored combat. Supervised by experienced practitioners, members learn the basics of the discipline: handling medieval weapons (swords, axes, shields), movement, close combat techniques and specific physical preparation. Each training session is designed to develop strength, endurance, strategy and self-control, while respecting strictly supervised safety rules.

Medieval combat, recognized as a sport in its own right at international level, is distinguished by its intensity and spectacular dimension. ASM competitors regularly take part in national and European tournaments, competing against other clubs in individual and team events. These events are great opportunities to promote the discipline and represent the Principality on original and attractive sporting stages.

But the Combat Médiéval section doesn't limit itself to competition. It also promotes the cultural and historical aspects of the sport. Members discover the world of knights and the martial heritage of the Middle Ages, while taking a modern, sporting approach to their practice.
